Detachment 430
The Coastal Bend Detachment was Chartered on
April 26, 1978 at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi,
Texas. The membership is comprised of honorably
discharged Marine Veterans, Active Duty Marines,
FMF Corpsmen, Marine Reserves with over 90 days
of service, and Retired Marines. Under certain provisions,
Associate Membership is permissable. League members
participate in: VA Volunteer Service programs, Awards and
Scholarships, youth programs such as the Young Marines and
other youth activities. The detachment also participates in patriotic
ceremonies, military functions,Toys for Tots, and other community
programs and activities.
DETACHMENT MEETINGS
Detachment meets every fourth Tuesday of the month at the
American Legion Post 364
